Let Your Eyes Do The Talking
Believe it or not, our facial expressions play a significant part in our nonverbal communication with one another. We often rely on a smile, a frown, or a crinkle of a nose to gather information about a person’s thoughts or feelings. However, these days we are all rocking our fashionable face masks to keep ourselves and others safe, essentially covering the entire lower portion of our faces and rendering us incapable of reading each other’s full facial expressions. That leaves us with only being able to read eyes and eyebrow ques. The good news is, we communicate most of our thoughts and emotions with our eyes, enabling us to decipher each other’s thoughts and feelings more accurately than our other facial expressions.
With more attention being drawn to our eyes, many of us enjoyed a little creativity during the mandatory stay at home orders, and got more playful with pops of fun eyeshadow colors, trying different liner techniques, and even reshaping our brows a bit. For many of us now, life has become very hectic these days.
